“After living in India for 6 months, I saw many women who had been trafficked, ostracized by their community, or living in poverty with little means to support themselves. I met several small business owners who sought to empower these women by teaching them a craft and employing them to make products while also encouraging them and giving them hope. From this, Hidden Lotus Crafts (HLC) was born. I knew that even while I am living in the U.S.A. I need to continue supporting this cause. HLC products are 100% fair trade and made by women. We have everything from home decor, to jewelry, scarves and bags. The majority of our products are also made from recycled material to support sustainability.”
